The university a as discrimination-sensitive working- and learning space
The working group anti-discrimination is a dynamic, needs-oriented counselling centre for people who have suffered discrimination at the university. The group works on establishing and increasing awareness about discrimination among staff members and students. The counselling centre was constituted due to the need for a contact point that documents and investigates racist incidents.
The working group unites different parties, including students and staff members, who communicate with non-academic partners and anti-discrimination representatives of other universities on a regular basis. The group meets frequently to discuss how to organise an anti-discrimination office at the University of Hildesheim, what needs have to be considered, and what parties have to be involved.
